About
I'm Kaitlyn. I was a software engineer. I became a mom. Then I wasn't sure what I was for a while.
Now I'm building software again. Small, useful apps, one at a time, as a studio called Kaldra. The first one was practice: Colorín, a coloring page app for kids who keep asking for things that don't exist in any book. The next ones will be focused on Type 1 Diabetes, which I have had since I was 15 years old.
Somewhere in the last month, AI became a bigger part of this than I expected. Not just in how I build — in how I plan, write, think. I've been writing about it here, and that's turned into its own thing. I'm interested in all of it: the software piece, the productivity piece, the what-else-can-this-do piece. Still figuring it out. Writing about it as a way to solidify my understanding and share my thoughts with the world.
